Kane Brown (30th September 2025, Cologne)

On 30th September 2025, Kane Brown was back in Cologne. After I featured his Drunk or Dreaming Tour show in Cologne in January 2023, the US country-pop artist kicked off the European part of his his The High Road Tour 2025 in my home town. With Dylan Schneider, he brought a very interesting support act at the E-Werk in Cologne as well.

This posting comes with 67 major size pictures as part of the concert gallery. Some pictures taken during the show have not been authorized for usage by Kane Brown’s management and have thus been excluded.

E-Werk – About The Venue

The E-Werk is a venue in the former industrial district of Cologne-Mülheim. The venue, which can host up to 2,000 people, is a protected landmark. Located right opposite the major Palladium, the two venues are driven by the same company. Parking in the area is tricky, especially if both venues host events in parallel. There is a bus stop right in front of the venue (line 150, connecting to Mülheim Rail Station). However, many public transport users also take the tram, e.g. Line 4 to Von-Sparr-Straße.

Kane Brown – About The Artists

Kane Brown is a Southern Tennessee country music and country-pop artist. He was born on 21st October 1993 in Chattanooga. He was raised by his single mother, sometimes with very limited wealth. He turned into a professional musician in 2014, after his cover songs became very popular on social media. He has won an ACMA Award in 2021 and five American Music Awards. The High Road, released in January 2024, is his fourth studio album overall. None of his albums placed worse than second in the domestic country music charts. Brown had multiple chart-topping single releases.

On the The High Road Tour shows in Europe, Brown was supported by Dylan Schneider. He is a US-American country music artist, who is originally from Indiana. During the tour, Schneider will celebrate his 26th birthday. Including his 2016 debut Wannabe, Schneider already has released six EPs. In 2018, his song How Does It Sound received a golden record by the RIAA. There is also one Dylan Schneider album. I shared my review of Puzzled in September 2024.

Kane Brown – The Show

Dylan Schneider stepped on stage right in time at 20:00 for his 45 minute set. His set was a mixture of originals and covers. For example, he cheered up the people with Morgan Wallen’s Whiskey Glasses and Garth Brooks’ Friends In Low Places. His acoustic set was nice, but you also felt that it was missing a certain punch. The energy of his songs is much more present in the album versions.

Kane Brown came on stage a bit later than expected, around 21:20. With his full band and even fire on stage, he pushed the 1,600 people in the rather packed venue to another energy level. Some of his big songs like Like I Love Country Music or What If were already quite at the beginning of his some 80 minute show, which sometimes leaned towards rock, but also had some hip hop influenced parts. The crowd loved it and even did not care that the concert more felt like a really good country music playlist than a storybook. At songs like Heaven, they sang along with their star and tracks line One Mississippi lifted the energy level even higher. For Famous Friends, Schneider came back on stage and felt being much stronger in that setting. And Brown shared some personal stories. For example, he stated that Good as You is his favorite song to perform live. The good, old E-Werk had a modern country music party until the later evening, when Brown left the stage.

Kane Brown – My View

If you like Kane Brown or not, that’s a matter of taste. The concert showed a matter of facts, though. Kane Brown caught the audience and drove them with high energy. In a small scale, Cologne felt why this guy is selling out major venues and stadiums on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. His shows are honest, energetic – and fun. He hasn’t even reached his potential in Europe yet. Last time, he played the slightly smaller Carlswerk Victoria, now the E-Werk – let’s hope that he crossed the Schanzenstraße next time and performs at the larger Palladium for an even larger crowd.
