After I had quite a lot of sports reporting at the beginning of 2025, January of that month did not feature a single concert. Time to change that on 3rd February 2025, when Sound of Nashville brought country artist Warren Zeiders to my home town Cologne. The support act of the evening at the Carlswerk Victoria was Wesko. Here is my concert report of the evening, which was part of Zeiders’ Relapse tour.

Warren Zeiders – About The Artists
Warren Donald Zeiders, born on 22nd October 1999 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is US-American country music singer and songwriter. He has released four studio albums so far. The most successful one has been the 2023 Pretty Little Poison, which peaked 12th in the domestic country charts. The title track even made it to the top of the US Country Airplay Charts and received a double platinum record. Another successful song was Ride the Lightnight (717 Tapes), which has been another platinum record in the USA and Canada. He came to Cologne with his latest album, Relapse, which has been released in August 2024.
Warren Zeider was supported in Cologne by Wesko. His artist name is an abbreviation of his civil name, Wesley Keith Holmes. Wesko grew up in Kenansville, North Carolina. His debut single Burning House released in 2022 has already been rather successful. In 2024, he released his debut EP Lost Boys. The key song of the release was Dreamer, which comes with roughly 750k streams on Spotify.
Warren Zeiders – The Show
Wesko was expected to be on stage on 19:45. In fact, his show started around 20:00, which was also – I guess – caused to massive traffic and parking issues around the venue. He started the set with songs like Hopeless Son and Dreamer and more and more caught the audience in his acoustic set, supported by an additional guitarist. A highlight of his set was Helene (The Carolina Taping), which he wrote after the September 2024 hurricane in his home state North Carolina. He also told the story, how Luke Combs supported the state in a charity show and thus played his Beautiful Crazy right beforehand. The 45 minute set closed with Good Old Days, Too Young To Die (which had a live debut on this tour) and the Coldplay cover Viva la Vida, which closed the set.
In line with the previous delay, Warren Zeiders stepped on stage around 21:15. The set was roughly 75 to 80 minutes and included 14 songs. Zeiders and his bandmates were very active on stage, starting the show with Up To No Good and Intoxicated. The show was energetic, but had its slow-downs. For example, after he pumped the audience with Never Look Back, the more emotional Heartbreaker followed. Here and there, the country artist tried to “conduct” the sing-a-long of the crowd. With You For A Reason, the song had its emotional highlight, right before Zeiders kicked off a country music party with Relapse. Unfortunately, the show slowed down a bit with the song thereafter, Burn It Down. Zeiders being on stage bare-chested towards the end was definitely a treaty for the predominantly female first row at the Carlswerk Victoria. The set concluded with Ride the Lightning and Take it to the Grave.

Warren Zeiders – My View
I really liked Wesko’s very personal performance and storytelling. Warren Zeiders spread a lot of energy a the sold-out Cologne show, but here and there lacked a bit of pushing the audience to join his energy on stage. Songs like the rocking Relapse, but also the emotional You For A Reason illustrated, however, the magic Zeiders can create on stage. A few more songs by the main act would have made the evening a better one.
