It took me quite a while to finally complete the review of the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Business Bay. My wife and I visited the hotel during our trip in late 2021, which also included visiting the Expo 2020. Here is my view on the very interestingly located Hilton Group hotel.
DoubleTree Dubai Business Bay – Location
The Business Bay District in Dubai, where the hotel is located, is actually a quite interesting location for a stay. There is a small shopping, business and recreational pedestrian area next to the hotel, which is a real beauty and offers some really nice dining options on top of the hotel ones. Some key Dubai sights like the Dubai Mall or the Burj Khalifa are in very short driving distance. For example, we had our amazing afternoon tea at Burj Khalifa during the same trip.
There are some bus stop options around, but in general I would not opt for this hotel if you you don’t want to drive a rental car. The driving distance to the Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall metro station is about three kilometers. The only thing which bothered me while driving to the hotel was a quite high amount of one-way roads in the area, which may make driving more complicated. The hotel provides complimentary valet parking.
DoubleTree Dubai Business Bay – The Room
My wife and I had booked a two night stay at the end of October 2021. The flexible (5 day notice) rate from Friday to Sunday for a King Deluxe Room was 1852.43 AED, roughly 480 EUR. We have received a nice corner room. Breakfast has been included in my rate due to my Hilton Honors Diamond status. You may also book rooms with a Burj Khalifa view. The room size was given with 36 square meters. Even though the room has been comfy and there was no issue to store our luggage, it did not feel that large. A key rationale for that was the very long hallway of the room. The minibar was in the hallway as well, which also gave some space for travel items. Unfortunately, the living and sleeping area did not feature a dustbin, which I did not like.
We loved the large bathroom with a free standing bathtub and a separate shower, though. The hotel provided the typical Hilton amenities and the whole room was well-serviced and absolutely clean. I guess that the hotel was rather recently opened during our visit – there has been quite some construction work in the area as well.
DoubleTree Dubai Business Bay – Breakfast
Compared to other places in Dubai, the selection of items the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Business Bay offered was maybe a bit more limited – therefor, we loved the presentation. A really beautifully made up buffet with some dishes made to order – and “limited” in regards of the United Arab Emirates is still a fancy opener of the day in other parts of the world.
The hotel offered some other dining and snack options as well, e.g. a cafe-style place in the lobby of the hotel.
DoubleTree Dubai Business Bay – Services
I did not manage to take some snaps of the nice gym of the hotel – but the pool area was really lovely and relaxing. It may be a bit too small when the pool area gets more crowded in the weekends, but during the week, you could easily spend some relaxing time in the shadow, the sun or in the water and just had to share the beautiful facility with a few other hotel guests.
The staff in the hotel was really good. Internet connection worked very well, too – Dubai hotels generally very rarely fail in these disciplines.
DoubleTree Dubai Business Bay – My View
The DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay is a really nice option for a Dubai trip, especially if you are around by car. The place is posh and nice and pricing is still within reasonable limits. After one day of driving, you also get to know into the allowed driving directions around. I was not fully happy with the room layout, though. The bathroom, however, gave us a bright smile. Very nice Hilton Group stay.
