Jenn Bostic (16th February 2025, London)

Even though it was quite a lot of traveling for a single concert, I was really looking forward to traveling to London on 16th February 2025. US-American artist Jenn Bostic came back to the Green Note in Camden, almost exactly one year after I featured her show there in 2024. This time, Jenn Bostic, who is a Featured Artist of Flyctory.com, came with a support act, Alex Francis.

This posting comes with 381 major size pictures as part of the concert gallery.

Green Note – About The Venue

The concert was held at the same venue as 2024, the Green Note in Camden. It is rather a music pub. The easiest way to get tehre is by Northern Line to Camden Town station. Alternatively, there is also a London Overground connection, e.g. to Stratford, from Camden Road station. The matinee was scheduled to kick off at 14:30. There was also an evening show at 20:30.

Jenn Bostic – About The Artist

Jenn Bostic is a 1986-born artist, who is originally from Philadelphia. Nowadays based in Nashville, she started her career with countrypop songs, but more and more leaned towards Christian music. Her song Jealous of the Angels is a Song of my Life. The 2012 release is also her most famous track. Jenn is looking back to five album releases and two EPs so far. The latest album release is the 2022 You Find A Way, while she released her latest EP, Take My Hand Part 1, in 2019.

The support act at the green Note was Alex Francis. Despite the British artist has a rather limited number of followes, the pop and soul singer-songwriter already had a 20 million Spotify stream hit in 2019 with the acoustic version of Michael Jackson’s Human Nature, which he recorded alongside Matt Johnson. Francis is originally from Hertfordshire, but is nowadays based in North London.

Jenn Bostic – The Show

Briefly after the scheduled time, at some 14:35, Alex Francis stepped on stage of the intimate venue. During his 30 minute acoustic set with guitar, he impressed with his intense voice. He started with two songs of is rather earlier works, Desire (2019) and Hell & Heavenly (2020). Later in his set, he also sang two covers including Bleeding Love. His set closed with his latest single, We Beat as One.

Jenn Bostic’s set was a bit longer than an hour and started after a some 20 minute intermission. For most of the set, Jenn was playing the piano in parallel. She started her set with What Love Feels Like of her 2015 Faithful album and her 2011 single relee Not Yet. The third song she shared was an unreleased song, Easy To Love, written about her son Skyler Michael. In contrast to the Green Note announcement that This is a listening venue, she encouraged the London audience to sing-along with her. Thereafter, she focused on her new Love You Right EP and featured Imma Shake It Up and Don’t Give Up On This. For the latter song, Alex Francis shared the stage with Jenn and had a lovely, rather spontaneous, duet.

While Francis left the stage again, Jenn used his guitar for Just Keep Steppin’ and Half of It. The emotional highlight of the afternoon was – not too surpsingly – Jealous of the Angels. Jenn told about her recent appearance in the Royal Albert Hall with Catherine Jenkins.. More than that, the day of the Green Note show was the 29th anniversary of the death of James R. Bostic, her father. After the 2022 song Too Grateful, some technical issues lead to a stripped down, but cool version of Love You Right. After Revival, she closed with Love you, a song for her husband Michael.

Jenn Bostic – My View

There are not many artists for whom I would do a daytrip to London in business class (due to taking the cameras with me) for a concert. And there are even less who are worth. Jenn Bostic is definitely on the top of that list. I even loved her 2025 concert more than the 2024 one, even though her set one year before was slightly longer. The intimate atmosphere in the Green Note is a perfect fit to her touching music. It was also lovely to have her playing some songs with the guitar as well. This afternoon was simply miraculous – and I really felt sad that I couldn’t stay for the evening show.

Alex Francis showed a good performance. I really liked following his songs and stories in his hometown. He was a nice opener of a memorable afternoon in the British capital.
