Flyctory.com Pros

  • Very characteristic sound
  • Good songwriting

Even though Miller Campbell is in the music business for some years now, it took her until 12th September 2025 releasing her debut album. Here is my review of her self-titled record, which I ran into on a promotion platform.

Miller Campbell – About the Artist

Miller Campbell is a US-American country musician, based in Seattle. In 2020, Campbell released her debut single Sweet Release. Her music is typically blended with indie and rock elements. After an EP release in 2024, this record is her debut album.

Miller Campbell – Miller Campbell – Track by Track

The eleven track album lasts 40 minutes

1. All Night

Welcome back to the 1990’s – the hymnic opener is at least spreading some nostalgic classic rock-pop vibes. Especially the chorus of All Night stays in your mind.

2. Bad

The first song of the album which has been released before the 12th September 2025 already is Bad. The song is a bit darker and more rocking than the opener. However, it also feels emotional, even a bit of vulnerable. I enjoy listening to it.

3. Little Things

The next song is Little Things. It can be described best as a pop-rock track with a nice speed and some Americana vibes. I especially like the vocals in here. They do feel a bit of repetitive on the one hand, but also lead to a very characteristic sound.

4. Hotel New Wave

Miller Campbell is having a strong indie influence – and songs like the fast Hotel New Wave illustrate it. The song could be used on your next road trip playlist. In that case, you should be aware of the speed limits though – the pace of the song might push you too much.

5. Alright

Another feature single of the Miller Campbell album is Alright. The song reminds me a bit of Bad. The song creates a very nice atmosphere from the instrumental side. This prevents the song from being a bit of boring.

6. You Can’t Fool Me Anymore

You Can’t Fool Me Anymore is one of my favorites. It comes with a lot of energy, clear country vibes and a very nicely arranged chorus with a backing choir. Though the 2:48 minute song is in fact the shortest of this debut, it leaves a really strong mark.

7. Breathe

After the powerful predecessor, Breathe starts in the style of a gentle alternative country ballad. Overall, Miller Campbell allows the listener to have a rather intimate view into her soul. The song comes with a lovely melody and a gentle atmosphere.

8. Runaway Arms

The guitar riffs of Runaway Arms define the groove of Runaway Arms from the very beginning. While the song feels a bit of monotonous at the beginning, it finally turns out to a lovely melodic song with a good flow. Atmospheric breaks lead to an entertaining and interesting listen.

9. Every Headlight

A lovely melody with a good flow and even some typical Americana elements like the harmonica – you simply have to move to the vibes of Every Headlight while listening. The very characteristic voice of Campbell is another key driver of this song.

10. 3 AM

The last song of the album, which has already been featured before its release, is 3 AM. This one is a crisp, precise and energetic rocker with good guitar themes. Again, Miller Campbell manages meandering between different speeds and emotions. When the drums are stomping and her voice goes for the rocking way, she feels being at her best, though.

11. Self Medicated

Miller Campbell’s debut album closes with her most vulnerable song likely, Self Medicated. The 4:35 minutes (and thus: longest) track shows the US-American artist from a emotional perspective again. Especially in the chorus, you feel being very close to her.

Miller Campbell – Miller Campbell – My View

Miller Campbell’s debut album is a really interesting listen. Especially her melodies and her vocals are striking, her stories are good. Overall, a but more balancing might even lead to a better listen. But I like it.

Favorite Song: You Can’t Fool Me Anymore
