Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 1st August 2025)

I am at a company event in Bremen the whole weekend. Thus, I had to prepare quite a lot of things beforehand. The Songs of the Weekof course, had to be done in time this weekend. Again, I am amazed by the wide range of new song release, lead by a German couple this time. Enjoy my song selection.

Zwei wie Eins – Wir bleiben nie stehen

Maybe, its about the slight country music vibes – but finally the chorus of Wir bleiben nie stehen (“We will never keep standing”) simply beat it. Zwei wie Eins are a duo, consisting of Theres and Phillipp. The two German artists are engaged – and obviously do great music somewhere between pop and schlager.

Sally Carter – Im Falle des Falles

The second song on my list is also having a country touch. Sandy Carter is doing country-schlager – a genre, which is becoming more and more popular in Germany. The domestic artist from the Niederrhein region released this lovely track this week.

Tiffany Aris – Breathe

Tiffany Aris is a German artist, who was born in Hamburg, but lives in Berlin nowadays. In 2023, she had her biggest song so far, Right Love (alngonside Mark Mendy and Paradigm). Her new song Breathe illustrates that she also has the potential being a great solo artist.

Henry Moodie – Sunday Morning

British Henry Moodie is already a very established artist in the music business. Even though the Guildford native grew big just in 2022, he already had hits like drunk text, which come with half a billion Spotify streams. Sunday Morning is his sixth Songs of the Week appearance overall.

Roe Byrne – All I Wanted

Roe Byrne is a singer-songwriter from Ireland. In 2025, he moved from Dublin to Berlin. Fun fact: his career started as a street musician, as which he was discovered by a cameraman.

Florian Künstler – So lang nicht mehr getanzt

Florian Künstler is a very frequent guest in my weekly song features. This week, he release So lang nicht mehr getanzt (“Not danced for so long”). Another really interesting song for the Berlin artist, who celebrates his fortieth birthday this year.

Lewis Fitzgerald – Guinness

Lewis Fitzgerald is a singer-songwriter from London. It is the first time I feature music by him. Guiness is a really nice pop song with songwriter vibes.

Paula Della Corte – Rusty Skies

Rusty Skies by Swiss Paula Dalla Corte combines emo and Americana elements. She is the winner of the 2020 edition of The Voice of Germany. In 2024, she released her debut album Fashion. The second time I feature her after her appearance in the 31st May 2024 edition of my Songs of the Week.

Krick – Way Too Busy

I rarely feature music from Luxembourg.  Krick – her civil name is Christine Heitz, is from that smaller state. She had a rather successful song with the 2024 single release Drowning in the Rain already. I really like the groove in her new song, Way Too Busy.

Tom Grennan – Somewhere Only We Go

In two weeks, British artist Tomm Grennan will release his new album Everywhere I Went Led Me To Where I Didn’t Want To BeSomewhere Only We Go is a very interesting teaser for that new record.

Suede – Dancing With The Europeans

The alternative rock band Suede has been founded in 1989 in London. Overall, the band will release their tenth studio Antidrepressants on 5th September 2025. Very interesting for the English quintet – I really like their new single release.

Sweet Savage – The Chosen One

Even though I started with some German pop-ish track, there have been great rockers this week as well. Two really good songs are at the end of my this week’s song selection. Sweet Savage are a British heavy metal band, who have already been founded in 1979 in Belfast. Their The Chosen One still feels cool and modern.

Paulinko – Ficken wen du willst

Paulinko made me smile brightly this week. The band is an all-female trio, named after lead singer Anna Paulina Kohn, from Dusseldorf. They state “You can fuck whoever you want, but then I don’t want you”. Straight, rocking, with a touch of punk – and absolutely catching. Love this one.
