Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 20th March 2026)

Some of my favorite sports, floorball and ice hockey, are about to close their season. Play-off time. I did not go for sports coverage this weekend, just as I need some time to relax. C2C 2026 in Berlin, followed by my ice hockey trip to Canada was quite exhausting. Thus, I am also a bit later than usual in my Songs of the Week this time as well. Hope you still like the list of my favorite new (non-country) songs of this week.

The Aardwolves – You’ll Be Alright

This time, my Songs of the Week are lead by The Aardwolves. the band is a rock trio from the Faroe Islands, lead by singer Henri Olsen. Another great proof about the variety – and quality – in the Faroese music scene.

Hokka – Blackbird

Hokka is a Finnish rock band, formed around former Blind Channel lead singer Joel Hokka. They signed a record deal last year and are about to release their debut album Via Miseria IV in April. Here is one of the feature songs, Blackbird.

Jupiter Jones – Älter als die Steine

Jupiter Jones are a German punk and rock band, which have been formed in the Eifel region in 2002. After a hiatus between 2018 and 2021, they are very active again. With their new song, they deliver another of their straight, typical rocker.

dArtagnan – Helden X Hymnen

I featured the (historic) folk rock band from Nuremberg a couple of times already. This week, they release Helden X Hymnen. The song will be part of their new album Ich trag den Sarg, Du trägst was Buntes (“I carry the coffin, you wear colors”), which will be released in August 2026.

Louise Aubrie – Midnight Calls

Louise Aubrie is an indie-rock artist, who was born in London, but also lives in New York and Los Angeles. Her single release Midnight Calls is the first song published of her upcoming album LFA. It’s her sixth one overall.

Paris Paloma – Miyazaki

Some of you might know Paris Paloma as the recent support act of Florence + The Machine on their European tour. The British artist released her debut album Cacophony in 2024. A really nice pop song.

Tyler Shaw – Run To You

Tyler Shaw is a Canadian actor and musician. He is from Richmond in British Columbia. So far, Shaw has released for studio album, including a Christmas album in 2021. The press kit flags Run To You as the beginning of a new era of his career and announces more songs this year. Sounds promising!

Flo – Leak it

Flo is a British R&B trio. They started as a duo in 2019 and soon upgraded to the current line-up. They won the well-known BBC newcomer talent show Sound of 2023. Their 2024 debut album Access All Areas peaked third in the domestic charts.

Anne Mosters – One Last Time

Anne Mosters is another artist who became popular by a TV talent show. The 2005-born in the winner of the 2025 edition of The Voice of Germany. Her new song One Last Time is a really nice pop track with a fine groove.

Bell Book & Candle – Only Love (All Of Us Or None)

Bell Book & Candle – these guys from Berlin gave me a lot of enjoyment in the late 1990’s. Their single Rescue Me (1997) was a a platinum record in Germany and Austria. For their new song Only Lovethey worked together with Maschine, the singer and composer behind the legendary band Puhdys.

Dave Lofts – Holy

The last song on my this week’s list is Holy by Dave Lofts. The Irish singer-songwriter strikes with his lovely voice, which also turns his new song into a catching listen.
