Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 29th August 2025)

After the stressful Sound of Nashville Open Air, I just had to reduce my originally planned schedule for this weekend. My selection of newly released songs this week is rather concentrated on the pop-rock sector. Hope you enjoy my Songs of the Week.

Riku Rajamaa – Better Off With Love

The Finnish guitarist and musician Riku Rajamaa just was part of a major announcement: he will (partially) support the comeback tour of the German goth rock at Unheilig. I am sure, his new, amazing song Better Off With Love will drive the masses there. My leading song in this week’s edition.

LEAP – Messages

A new song by the British indie-rock project LEAP. Messsages teases the album Entropy, which will be released on 3rd October 2025. Sounds promising.

Michael Aldag – Saturday

Saturday is a slightly melancholic, very relatable song by the British artist Michael Aldag. The song leads towards his upcoming EP release. I really like it.

James Morrsion – Cry Your Tears On Me

James Morrison’s new album Fight Another Day is due to be released on 3rd October 2025. This week, the British artist released another teaser, Cry Your Tears On Me. I really like that songwriter-style, slightly rocking track.

Bon Jovi – Red, White and Jersey

I struggle with all these deluxe and extended editions of albums already released. The US rock band is heading towards a Legendary Edition of their album Forever – which has been released in 2024 already. Red, White and Jersey is just too good to be ignored this week.

Rea Garvey – Take This Heart

The former Raemonn head Rea Garvey is working on a very special project. At the end of October, the Irish will publish the book Before I Met Supergirl, which is telling stories of Garvey’s childhood, teenage times and being a young adult. There will also be a soundtrack to that, including demos of that time and eight brand-new songs. Take This Heart is one of them.

Aksel Remmel – Come With Me Tonight

I really love the voice of Aksel Remmel. The Faroese musician is studying the piano in Lyon, France, currently. His YouTube channel does already feature some cover songs – this one is his debut single release. Great one!

ESKE – Dancing In The Sky

I featured this young German indie-pop artist a couple of times already. This week, she is presenting Dancing In The Sky. A really lovely track by the former The Voice Kids contestant.

Marleen Lohse – Friendship

With Friendship, the German actor and musician Marleen Lohse makes it into my Songs of the Week for the third time already. I really love this singer-songwriter style track. Nice!

Robby Musenbichler – Soul Dreamer

Robby Musenbichler is an Austrian guitarist, composer, singer and producer. He has collaborated in over 2,000 productions. This week he released Soul Dreamer, whch is a lovely, heartwarming mixture of rock, pop and reggae. Nice one!
