My list of new song releases is really short this week again. There were not that few new releases, but overall, there is quite a nice mixture of very different songs. Hope you like them.
Avantasia – Creepshow
The metal project by Tobias Sammet started as a metal opera – and is nowadays one of Germany’s finest musical exports of the genre. The always changing superband concept is looking back to a 25 year along history. Creepshow will also be the opener of the tenth studio album Here Be Dragons, which will be released on 28th February 2025.
The Baboon Show – Forward in Reverse
Another long-lasting musical project is The Baboon Show from Stockholm, Sweden. The punk band around the characteristic singer Cecilia Boström has already been founded in 2003. Forward in Reverse will also be the title track of their upcoming EP.
They Called Me Phoebe – If We Were In A Movie
I more and more love listening to new tunes by They Called Me Phoebe. Her 2023 debut EP Overthinking already had some fascination – but I like the new tracks by the German artist from Hamburg even more. Like her this week’s release.
Bernd Kieckhäben – Du bist alles
Bernd Kieckhäben became famous, when he competed in the 2009 season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, the German equivalent to American Idol. After some ups and downs in his career, he is now releasing songs under his civil name. And, by the way, is also driving two hairdressing stores. His new song is a lovely and touching ballad.
Jim “Kimo West & David Vito Gregoli – Hark The Herald Angels Sing
The slackers are back in Christmas mood. My dear Jim “Kimo” West released this instrumental version of the classic, alongside David Vito Gregoli this week. Happy holidays! This time, it is rather heading towards fingerstyle guitar.
Marla Glen – Look What You See
Marla Glen, what a big name in music. His new song Look What You See sounds so Marla Glen-alike, I just had to share it. Cool vibes by the US-American singer living in Germany nowadays.
Felicia Lu – Bigger One
Felicia Lu (civil surname Kürbiß) is an Austrian artist from Salzburg. She took part in a couple of music TV shows. She is regularly releasing music, like this one. A rather straight pop music finale of my short Songs of the Week this time.
