Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 12th December 2025)

Indeed, we are all getting closer to year-end and Christmas time. I started working on my year-end reviews for the year 2025 already. The number of music releases is “traditionally” decreasing now, numbers will raise again in 2026. I like this time of year, also because it gives a focus to smaller artist who “dare” to release some new ones. Like Superdreamer, who have their fist appearance on Flyctory.com at all.

Superdreamer – Just a Dream

Just a Dream is just the third single by Superdreamer – after releasing Wanna Be With You in 2021 and Carry On in 2024. The band name is a combination of GermanAustrian artist July Paul’s former band Citydreamer and his favorites Supertramp. He formed a quartet in Carinthia, Austria. An album release is planned for 2026. This song definitely demands for it.

Isaak – Drown In The Rush

While Superdreamer is a new act on Flyctory.com, Isaak even lead the Songs of the Week once, with What If on 20th June 2025 (with Myle). The former Eurovision Song Contest singer presents a nice mixture of pop, rock and singer-songwriter elements. A really good one.

The Rule – Smoke In The Air

The Rule is a Swiss rock trio. Unfortunately, I just have very limited information about them unfortunately – apart from that the band members are brothers. They recently announced the release of their debut album in 2026.

Mackenzy Mackay – Dukes Head

Mackenzy Mackay is definitely already on the upper levels of the music industry. The British artist from Yorkshire comes with over 500k followers on Instagram. His recent acoustic tour through the U.K.? Sold out entirely! If you listen to his new one, Dukes Head, you know why they love him. Great one.

Michelle – Richtig oder falsch

Richtig oder falsch is the last teaser before Michelle is releasing her new album in January 2026. The German schlager icon and ESC singer did another great song. Right after the album release, she will hit the road for her farewell tour. She will be missed deeply.

Me & The Lion – Coming Home (xmas radio edit)

The next two songs have a similar song. The artists took an already released song and put it into a slower and cozy Christmas edit. First of all, there is Me & The Lion and their new version of Coming Home. The German duo of Anika and Leo Sieg formed this project in 2023. I really like this jingle bells sound. Do you have all the Christmas gifts already, by the way? 🙂

Räuber – Denn wenn et Trömmelche jeht (x-mas edit)

Not only because it is the goal song of Soccer Bundesliga club 1. FC Cologne, Denn wenn et Trömmelche jeht is a really big song – at least in and around Cologne. For the Christmas version, the song is slowed down, there are a few lyric adoptions – and the song feels like a perfect soundtrack for the Rheinland region. I love it!

Mourits Mohr Joensen – Nu hoppa og skroppa allar nissur

Not only due to my recent praise on Faroese sports (despite the Trier SWT Arena experience was not that good…) – the Faroe Islands have a special spot in my heart. This week, I present a Faroese Christmas track, which has in fact been written by Mourts Mohr Joensen on Christmas morning in 2022.
