I am in Switzerland this weekend, reporting from the Rock Meets Country Festival in Sempach. The more I felt happy that my song selection this week is no that large and thus leads to limited workload. The leading song of the post feels to fit perfectly to the festival.
Seraina Telli – Let It All Out
The cover of this single release is Green – and that’s also the title of the upcoming Seraina Telli album. Since I ran into the Swiss rock and hard rock lady as a support of Visions of Atlantis in Essen, this artist i really in focus of my coverage.
Lorena – Pretty Please
The German rock artist Lorena has eben featured quite a couple of times in my Songs of the Week already. This weekend, she released the energetic Pretty Please. A powerful and fast one, which is fun listening to.
Feinkost-live – Wir sind alle gleich
Literally, Feinkost means Gourmet food. However, the message of this song is not very exclusive, but rather universal: “We are all the same”. Nice song.
Phil Young – The Hill
Phil Young release a beautiful new listen that day. His new single reminds of the 1970’s and their music. Nice references.
Emi Wilde, Laura Nahr – Delusional
The press notes to this collaboration call the two young ladies a “duo of dreams”. I would not go that far, but their new single is indeed tempting.
Henry And The Waiter – Someone Better
Henry And The Waiter somehow sounds much cooler than Henrik Steigerwald, doesn’t it? The latter is the civil name of the following artist, who is originally from Frankfurt. Nonetheless, Someone Better is a catching and unique song. I really like it.
Luca Hänni – Lighthouse
But now you’re there like a lighthouse and I know that you will guide me home – Luca Hänni released a lovely new pop track this week. The Bern singer-songwrite is the second Swiss artist I feature in this post. He is just about to go on tour.
Marshmello feat. Hudson Westbrook – Better Man Than Me
A US collaboration closes my Songs of the Week: Who will be on the top of next week’s list? This collaboration of DJ and producer Masrshmellow and country singer on the rise, Hudson Weatbrook, leads to a very interesting new song.
