German Under 15 Floorball Nationals – Placement Matches (6th July 2025)

After the semifinals, it was time to determine the placements at the German Under 15 Floorball Nationals. Hosting TV Eiche Horn Bremen had the first match of that series, which even had some regional TV presence.

German Under 15 Floorball Nationals – Placement Matches

The matches for Place 5 and Place 3 took place at 12:30 and 14:00 in Bremen.

 

Place 5: TV Eiche Horn Bremen – Dümptener Füchse 1-6 (0-1, 1-0, 0-5)

Dümpten had the better start in a close period. The Ruhrgebiet team took the lead and thereby scored the only goal in the first period. The second period stayed very tactical – one of these matches which are just made for people supporting the shot clock. While the teams acted very disciplined most of the period, Eiche Horn had a clear advantage towards the end of the second fifteen minutes. Thus, the 1-1 tying goal in the 29th minute was absolutely deserved and guaranteed a thrilling third period.

Two early Dümpten goals, one in power play, broke Bremen’s neck and finally lead to a rather straight-looking for Kevin Buckermann’s team. When the buzzer sounded through the venue, Dümpten celebrated their 6-1 victory. By the way, after so many bothersome matches, this was also a really nice one to watch from an umpiring perspective.

 

Place 3: Floorball Mainz – SC DHfK Leipzig 1-2 SD (1-1, 0-0, 0-0, x-1)

SC DHfK Leipzig felt to invest more to get the bronze medal in the first period. They put Mainz under pressure, who prevented a goal against them for a long time – with a lot of skill and some luck as well. In the 12th minute, though, they were unlucky when a deflected shot dropped on the back of a defender and caused the first own goal of the tournament. However, the score after fifteen minutes was tied – Floorball Mainz converted a fast break in the last minute of play.

The match became significantly more hectic and physical in the second period. Despite there was no goal in the middle third of the Place 3 match, it ended with a protesting penalty against Leipzig. Thus, Mainz started the last period with 87 seconds remaining in power play. They could not convert that opportunity. Especially  towards the end of the third period, both teams had great chances to decide the match, but failed to convert their chances. Thus, the match ended like the first one in Group A – in overtime. This time, though Leipzig went from the court with a smile. After 94 seconds, Florian Aster sniped SC DHfK Leipzig to the bronze medal.
