Flyctory.com Pros

  • Nice, personal set of songs
  • Good range of tracks

I have featured songs by Jordana Bryant already a couple of times. However, there has never been an EP or album review so far. Her new EP Right Key, Wrong Porch is a perfect opportunity to change that. Jordana released the set of six songs on 14th March 2025.

Jordana Bryant – About The Artist

Jordana Bryant was born on 30th July 2005 in Pennsylvania. She nowadays lives in Nashville. Starting in 2019, she started to share cover songs on her YouTube channel. In 2021, she also shared some of them on Spotify, starting with The Good Ones and Fast Car. Her breakthrough was the single New Friends, which comes with almost five million Spotify streams so far. In 2022 she released her debut EP, a Christmas release named First Christmas in Love. Her first non-holiday themed EP was self-titled and released in April 2023.

Jordana Bryant – Right Key, Wrong Porch – Track by Track

The six track EP lasts 19 minutes.

1. Turns Out

Right Key, Wrong Porch starts with Turns Out. The track is a really nice modern country music track, which stays in your mind. A really nice way to get into the 2025 music of the young country music lady.

Turns out that it works out how it’s supposed to
Sometimes it’s the goodbye that you needed
Turns out that you somehow find a way through
Find out when it burns down there’s a reason
That always don’t always mean forever
Sometimes your heart breaks, but it breaks for the better
Turns out that the world keeps spinnin’ ’round
No matter how it turns out

2. Miles Don’t Matter

The EP continues with three previously released songs. Miles Don’t Matter is the most recent one, I featured it in my February 2025 Country Music Picks. The song with a high voice is driven by a present rhythm. I really like this country pop track.

3. Something Like Us

Something Like Us has been released at the end of January 2025. The song has a fine and fragile melody. Of course, it is a love story – or like Jordana states, Yeah, all I know about love, Is it’s somethin’ like us. Nice one even though the other two feature singles work better for me.

4. Remembering It Wrong

I already introduced you to this song as well, when I put it into my January 2025 Country Music Picks. The song has been the most frequently streamed track of the EP so far. Its very personal and emotional style is a huge factor for that, I believe.

5. Hot Mess

The two last songs of Right Key, Wrong Porch are new tracks again. The penultimate listen is Hot Mess, which comes with a lovely chorus. In it, Jordana states My life’s a hot mess, but I’m thriving. The song feels rather rhythmic and speedy and is a lovely listen in my point of view.

6. When God Closes Doors

The closing song When God Closes Doors is a ballad. The song is also somehow the title track of the EP, as it contains the album title in the lyrics. A lovely one.

When God closes doors, I can’t pray ’em open
And I might not be knockin’ if I saw the other side
Guess this ain’t the one, but this ain’t where the road ends
He’s somewhere waitin’ for me leavin’ on a light, mm
Yeah, it hurts when I see ’em slammin’
Nothin’ worked out the way I planned it
He’s just sayin’, “Right key, wrong porch”
When God closes doors
