On my recent trip to the Tennis Hall of Fame Open 2024 in Newport, I had British Airways and American Airlines flights to and from Boston Logan Airport (BOS). My flight back to Europe was with American Airlines, so that I ended up in Terminal B and had the opportunity to explore their Admirals Club. Here is my lounge review.
Admirals Club Boston Terminal B – Location & Access
The Admirals Club lounge is located close to gate B3, rather at the end of the terminal. The directions to the lounge are well given throughout the terminal. If you pass security, you need to head to the right to reach the place.
Admirals Club admission is rather complicated. If you are an AAdvantage member with a sufficiently high status or are on an international first or business class ticket, you are entitled to visit the lounge. American Airlines also sells day and permanent membership access to the lounge. Other oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members have access, regardless of the destination you are traveling to. I had access as a British Airways Executive Club Gold member on a Premium Economy ticket to Dusseldorf (DUS) via London Heathrow (LHR).
Admirals Club Boston Terminal B – Atmosphere
The lounge plan of the lounge states the Boston lounge to be an Admirals Club / Flagship Lounge place. Indeed, the lounge offers a bit more than you would expect of a typical Admirals Club. The front section of the lounge reminds of a typical Admirals Club. However, the rear part has increased catering, a lovely bar and a great view of the tarmac and the runways. There are work cabins, phone booths and even a relax room. You may also watch some TV in a dedicated room. The lounge was rather packed, especially in the rear part. I thus went for the front part and just grabbed a bit of food as I had to work anyway.
Admirals Club Boston Terminal B – Eat & Drink
The front section of the lounge holds typical Admirals Club food – basic snacks, a couple of drinks and a coffee machine. The rear section does not only serve alcohol, but also has a much wider range of snacks and even warm food. During my stay, you could also have nachos, coming with freshly mixed guacamole with condiments of your choice.
Admirals Club Boston Terminal B – Services
Despite a rather high number of guest in the lounge, the WiFi worked very well. The bathrooms were quite nice. The Admirals Club at Boston Logan (BOS) Terminal B even includes showers.
Admirals Club Boston Terminal B – My View
There are not too many international services by American Airlines from Boston nowadays. The more I was rather positively surprised about their nice lounge at this place. The lounge is not comparable to the airline’s finest places like the Soho Lounge at JFK Airport, but it is more than you get in other places. Thus, I really liked my stay there.
