Flyctory.com Pros

  • Very enjoyable classic rock / hard rock album
  • Fluent listen with catching choruses

I recently featured the French rock band Harsh twice. Their song Back to Life made it to the 3rd April 2026 Songs of the Week. In the 29th May 2026 edition, I shared Forever Yesterday with you. Both songs are part of the album Feels, which will be released on 3rd July 2026. Here is my review.

Harsh – About The Artists

Harsh are a rock and hard rock quartet from Paris in France. They have been founded in 2015. The band is currently a quartet. Harsh consists of Albert Arnold (vocals, guitar), Severin Piozzoli (guitar), Julien Martin (bass), and Leo Löwenthal (drums). In 2022, they released their debut album Out of Control. Thereafter, the band released a couple of individual songs. Feels is their sophomore album.

Harsh – Feels – Track by Track

The twelve song album lasts 48 minutes.

1. Break Your Way

Feels kicks off with a one minute instrumental intro, before the vocals join in for Break Your Way. The stanzas feels like a modern rock classic, which even lean a bit towards hip hop. The somehow nostalgic classic rock and arena rock style, hymnic chorus is a nice contrast. Thus, the opener provides the right groove for getting into the album.

2. All I Ever Wanted

All I Ever Wanted starts with a good melody and a certain easy. However, the song develops nicely and comes with a nice plot. There are some atmospheric breaks and a more rocking finale. Harsh does feelgood classic rock / hard rock – this song is a nice example for that.

3. Fuel to The Fire

The campaign towards Feels took quite a long time. Fuel to The Fire has already been released in April 2026. The French band does not go for a slow start in here. All instrumentalists go for full force and a good speed. The stomping rhythm drives any rock fan – the listener just cannot prevent banging the head during these almost four minutes.

4. Offer You A Rome

Offer You A Rome might not be that present at the beginning. However, with the chorus latest, Harsh recorded a really fine and catching one here. A touch of arena rock, a treat for (classic) rock fans. The song does present different

5. Don’t Mess With Me

Immediately, Don’t Mess With Me shows the main guitar riff. Again, the chorus is a beauty, made to stay in your mind and sing with Harsh. The instruments in the background create a wide, energetic setting in the chorus. On top of that, the bridge comes with a nice guitar solo.

6. Forever Yesterday

Feels now comes with the two songs I had already shared in my Songs of the WeekForever Yesterday starts rather slow and rather feels like a rock ballad. The chorus has more rock energy and comes with a lovely melody. The song is one of the longer tracks of the album and almost reached five minutes.

7. Back To Life

Lasting some four minutes, Back To Life is shorter than its predecessor. The beginning and the chorus reminds slightly of Break Your Way and feels very modern. However, the hip hop vibes are missing. Instead, Back To Life is a very groovy song. It almost feels needless to mention that the Paris quartet smashes with another great chorus.

8. Maniac

This is the first song released from Feels – and you all know it. Harsh presents their version of Michael Sembello’s Maniac. Five minutes of leaning back, enjoying and rocking with these guys. Maybe not the most creative version of the classic ever recorded, but definitely a fun listen.

9. Losing My Mind

The promotion platform I majorly use for reviews confuses me from this point. It shows Michael Sembello as the author of all following songs, which I cannot verify at all. At least, the tracks are no cover versions. Apart from that, Losing My Mind is one of the rougher and harder tracks of the album. Even though it comes with some really good instrumental elements, It is unfortunately also a weaker part of Fresh, unfortunately.

10. Dancing Dancing

The record is slowly heading for the final straight. The next two songs are rather short ones, each of them lasting about three minutes. First, there is Dancing Dancing. Its strong rhythm and the ease of the chorus make me smile. Definitely, a fun song which could cause some rocking dances.

11. Never Gonna See Me Fall

So far, there is still no real ballad. Never Gonna See Me Fall is closing the gap. Acoustic guitars, gentle strums at the beginning suggest, that this one is for lovers. The rock level increases later, though. It’s still one of the softer listens of Feels, but neither a rock nor a power ballad.

12. When We’re Together

When We’re Together closes the album. Just by one second, it is the longest track of the album. The song is rather straight classic rocker. Albert Arnold has a nice vocal showcase in here. The song feels just right for giving the listeners good vibes until the final minute.

I will add the Spotify widget once the album has been published.

Harsh – Feels – My View

I really liked the two songs I featured as single releases – the French rockers did not disappoint me with their album at all. Feels is a fluent, fun listen, with good instruments and nice vocals. You easily get into the songs, so that I feel that these songs could also be a great basis for their upcoming live appearances. In late 2026, for example, they will support The New Roses.
