Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 19th September 2025)

It’s Saturday again, time for another look into new songs. My week this time is somewhere between tennis excitement and a quite intense concert and sports coverage ahead of me, starting with the Rock meets Country Festival in Switzerland next weekend. This week, I put a rock song on the top of my new release posting. Enjoy!

The Gems – Year Of The Snake

You might not know the Swedish female band The Gems – but you may know the band they played in before – Thundermother. Guernica Mancini (vocals), Mona Lindgren (bass/guitar) and Emlee Johansson (drums) left their former band in 2023 and released the debut album of their new project, Phoenix, in 2024. This week, they shared their new single – and it is great fun listening to it.

Roxton – Revival

Roxton is the artist name of Max Roxton. He started as a solo artist, but nowadays has a band with him. The Munich, Germany, act presents this catching classic rock anthem this week – I really enjoy listening to it.

Eight Feet Fine – Breathe In

Eight Feet Fine are an alternative rock quartet from the Western German Rheinland region. They are currently working towards their new EP Turning Point. The first single release, Breathe In, sounds promising.

Die weiteren Aussichten – Die Motte

“Sometimes you are the moth, and sometimes you are the light” – that’s the key message of this fine alternative pop/rock track. The band performing is Die anderen Aussichten. They are a German band from Mainz.

Asgeir – Ferris Wheel

Asgeir (his full name is Asgeir Trausti Einarsson) is an Icelandic artist. In the press kit he states that the song is about longing to change the world. It definitely has a nice personal and emotional touch. He just kicked off his tour through Europe.

WIR bleiben WIR – Liebe stirbt langsam

The name of the Berlin music project translates to “We are staying ourserves”. The title of the nice pop-rock song is “Love dies slowly”. The gentle voice is by the singer Bella. I really love this one.

Stella Maria – Oceans Deep

Stella Maria is a young Austrian artist from Vienna. Despite her just being 15 years old, her pop song Oceans Deep feels very mature already. Next year, she is aiming to release her debut album. After Wait For Me In Line (featured in my 27th June 2025 Songs of the Week), she appears on my website for the second time already.

Michael Schulte x Asdis – Half Of My Heart

With Asdis from Reykjavik, I feature another Icelandic artist this time. The 32 year old singer is collaborating with German Michael Schulte. The result is lovely pop duet Half Of My Heart – a rhythmic and catching song.

Bianca – Perfekt

Bianca (Schüller) is a Cologne singer. She has originally been part of the female band Funky Marys. Now she is aiming for a solo career – and for schlager music. I really enjoy listening to her.
