Zug United – Kloten-Dietlikon Jets 2-7 (1-2, 0-3, 1-2)

After the Under 21 Women’s match, Zug United and Kloten-Dietlikon Jets faced each other in the Lidl Unihockey Prime League (L-UPL). Based on the standings before that 1st November 2025 matchday, Zug was in the favorite team position, leading the league so far. The Jets so far placed in the midfield, but came with some very interesting and dangerous players. Thus, you definitely could not expect an easy time for the hosts that evening. With Floorball Deutschland’s national team’s goalie Noora Holle, there was also a German player on the match report. She backed up Micheline Müller in this game, though.

Zug United – Kloten-Dietlikon Jets – Match Report

The match started with a bad mistake for the hosts. After less than three minutes, a turnover in the Zug defense lead to a fast attack, which was completed by Sara Piispa, assisted by Gentiana Behluli. A nice pass also lead to the second goal of the match. In the sixth minute, Zug’s Nathalie Spichiger played a precise pass to Julia Croneld. Her teammate, already wearing the red dress as the scoring leader of her team, had no issues to beat Livia Werz and tied the score.

While Zug did feel being very competitive at the beginning of the match, the Jets put them under pressure in the deciding moments. When Vivienne Knüsel was in the sin bin for an incorrect hit (13th), Piispa sniped in power play and gave back the lead to her team (15th).

Jets dominate Scores in the 2nd Period

The beginning of the second period rather suggested that Zug United could come back into the game. However, the Jets acted effectively and Chiara Bertini gave her team the third goal in the 25th minute. Some four minutes later, Lea Suter raised the score to 1-4. She profited from a shot by Nina Hoffmann, who felt to intentionally go for a shot besides the goal, so that her teammate could convert after the rebound from the rink rather easily.

Zug was shocked now, while Kloten-Dietlikon controlled the match. Finja Helbling scored after a fast break in the 31st minute, giving her team a comfortable four goal advantage. The Jets acted smart and could also rely on her very solid goalkeeper Werz, who was awarded the best player of her team after the match.

A bad day for hosting Zug United

There was some effort by Zug United to close up again, but overall, the guests played too disciplined on that day. Thus the local hopes for a comeback felt to get smaller. The match became more and more nervous and had a lot of discussions. Piispa got back into the focus of the some 200 spectators in the 48th, when she received a intensely disputed bench penalty (incorrect hit). The Czech players at Zug United gave back hope to their team. When Martina Repkova scored in power play after a precise pass by Denisa Ratajova, there was a gap of three goals with slightly more than ten minutes left to play.

However, it almost felt like a metaphor how Zug finally did not manage to control the match in its last minutes. Just some 30 seconds after they had pulled Micheline Müller, they scored – unfortunately into their own, empty net (57th).  One minute later, Yasmin Inderbitzin completed the match report with the seventh goal for her team.

Zug United – Kloten-Dietlikon Jets – My View of the Match

After some very convincing minutes, Zug United had a terrible and unlucky day in their own area. It was not only Werz, who gave the blue-and-white team too much struggle. The Jets played very disciplined and had a very important victory on the road. Especially the beginning of the third half unfortunately risked to become chaotic, when players and officials on both sides struggled with a couple of umpiring decisions.
