Country Music Picks (New Songs) February 2025

February 2025 is over – and it came with a lot of new music. In some of the weeks, I had a long list of more than 40 interesting new releases, which potentially could have made it to my Country Music Picks. Here is my final selection of new songs during last months.

New Songs of the Week of 7th February 2025

I had a massive list of songs and releases that week. Even after shortening, I came up with a list of 13 songs.

Frances Darling – True-Blue

In that week, I featured the debut EP of the German-US-American Americana artist Frances Darling. You can learn more about her in my Spotlight interview with her. My favorite new track of True-Blue Heroine is True-Blue

Scotty McCreery feat. Jason Crabb – Red Letter Blueprint

I just have eight spots in the Country Music Playlists. Sometimes that hurts. For example, when I just did not have a slot for this lovely new song by Scotty McCreery collaborating with Jason Crabb.

Esther Rose – New Bad

In that week, I added the summer tour dates by Esther Rose to my Tour Date Overview. What a lovely coincidence that she released this beautiful new song.

Joe Ely – No One Wins

In the first week of February, Joe Ely released his new album Love and Freedom. A really nice listen – I picked No One Wins for this selection.

Wilder Woods – Kind Of Magic

Kind Of Magic is part of the new album Curioso by Wilder Woods. A really interesting release by the South Carolina artist, who is mixing indie influences into his country style.

Savannah Dexter – Stay

There were quite a lot of interesting new album releases that week. As I try to prepare my reviews beforehand when there is sports coverage, I could not present you a deeper listen of Damage, the new record by Savannah Dexter. I went for this track.

Hayden Coffman – Don’t Come With a Label

Hayden Coffman, a Kentucky-origin artist, has already been streamed 160 million times on the respective platforms. He describes his new song with this song is about having a fling with somebody and never really putting a label on it. I definitely enjoyed that listen.

Belle Frantz – Do Ya

Belle Frantz is a female country artist from Monroe County in Southern Florida. Her new song Do Ya is part of the Landman TV series.

McCoy Moore – Something to You

McCoy Moore has been announced as a support artist of the Jim Bob World Tour 2025 by HARDY (see my Tour Date Overview). Something to You would be a nice choice for the set of the Florida-native artist.

Kelleigh Bannen & Charles Kelly – Nothing On

Nothing On is a lovely US-American country music collaboration of Kelleigh Banen and Charles Kelly. Hope you enjoy that beautiful listen as much as I did.

Old Dominion – Making Good Time

A new Old Dominion song – I am sure that fans of the band love listening to Making Good Time. Their new track easily made it

Sykamore – Country Kid

Sykamore is a Canadian country artist. The Alberta-origin singer-songwriter is already active as a musician since 2013. Her most recent album Pinto is already over two years old – hope there will be a new one soon.

Mark Morton feat. Cody Jinks – Brother

The collaboration of Mark Morton and Cody Jinks is a lovely country rocker. In 2019, Morton already had a major success with his single release Cross Off.

New Songs of the Week of 14th February 2025

Valentine’s Day – there was plenty of music which deserved to be loved during the second week of February 2025.

Sam Outlaw – Never Saw Him Cry

Sam Outlaw is touring Europe in April 2025. He will present his 2024 album Terra Cotta – and, very likely, his new single release.

Chatham Rabbits – One Little Orange

The North Carolina country duo shared One Little Orange on the second week of February 2025. They have already been featured in the December 2024 and January 2025 edition of my Country Music Picks.

Tigirlily Gold – Forever From Home

Another country music duo in my selection: the sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh are Tigirlily Gold. I featured them a couple of times on Flyctory.com already – and really like this song as well.

Kaleb Sanders – Right Guy

Kaleb Sanders is a Florida-origin artist who is nowadays based in Nashville. His Right Guy is a nice modern country track with an emotional touch.

LOCASH – When I’m Older

Chris Lucas and Preston Brust show their emotional and thoughtful side on When I’m Older. A beautiful song with a lovely flowing melody.

Jon Pardi – Love The Lights Out

There was quite a lot of good music during that week – so that even some big names did not make it into my Country Music Playlists. Jon Pardi’s new release is one of the songs, which are represented in here instead.

Kayley Green – The Little Love of Mine

Kaylee Green is a country music lady from South Carolina. Her The Little Love of Mine is a really nice modern country song with a traditional touch.

Connor McCutcheon – I Don’t Miss You at All

I Don’t Miss You at All is the new single release by Connor McCutcheon. In 2024, he released the EP Top of the Hill. Especially the title track was rather popular, coming with half a million streams on Spotify.

New Songs of the Week of 21st February 2025

The Swiss Floorball Cup Finals really kept me busy that weekend. Nonetheless, I could at least do a limited music review coverage.

Brooke Lee – Call Me Pretty

Brooke Lee is a country artist from Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2023, she released her debut EP I’ve Been Thinking, containing two rather successful tracks. I really love the sound of her latest release, Call Me Pretty.

Preston Cooper – One More Place I’ve Never Been

Preston Cooper is a country-rock artist from Ohio. He is going to support Riley Green on his 2025 North American tour. One More Place I’ve Never Been is just the second single release I found of him.

Jordana Bryant – Miles Don’t Matter

Jordana Bryant popped up here and there already on Flyctory.com. The last time, I featured her song Remembering It Wrong in the January 2025 Country Music PicksMiles Don’t Matter is another really lovely listen.

Alexandra Kay – Cupid’s A Cowgirl

After I saw the Alexandra Kay show in Cologne in March 2024, I am happy that she is back in Europe in May 2025 (see my Tour Date Overview). The zesty Cupid’s A Cowgirl might be a highlight of the shows.

Warren Zeiders – Without You

Warren Zeiders’ show in Cologne has been one of my most recent concert reports. That week, he released a new song, Without You. I’m sure his fans will love it again.

Russell Dickerson – Happen To Me

It’s already quite a while ago since I reviewed a Russell Dickerson album. Namely, it was his self-titled album in 2022. Would be cool to feature the Tennessee native soon again for more than presenting his new song release.

Dylan Wolfe – Far Behind

One million followers on TikTok, almost 400k on Instagram – Dylan Wolfe is a big one on social media. Even though there have just been some 30k streams on Spotify of his new song so far, I really like Far Behind.

Avery Anna – Mr. Predictable

Avery Anna was lovely at the 2023 Heart To Heart event in Düsseldorf. I am really looking forward to her Sunday set at the Country To Country Festival 2025 in Berlin (here is my preview). Mr. Predictable is a lovely new listen by her.

Parmalee – Feels Like Home

The country and rock band Parmalee is simply named after the town they are from, Parmale in North Carolina On 4th April, they will release their next album, Fell in Love with a Cowgirl. Look forward to that one.

Austin Snell feat. Brantley Gilbert – Muddy Water Rockstar

I really felt sad that I did not have a spot in my Country Music Playlists for this cool rocker any more. A really nice song for people enjoying harder country tunes.

New Songs of the Week of 28th February 2025

I had an ice hockey trip watching three Pittsburgh Penguins matches in their PPG Paints Arena that week. Quite a bunch of songs made it into my Country Music Picks that week.

Trace Adkins – What Color’s Your Wild

It’s quite a while since my last Trace Adkins review – my post about the EP Ain’t That Kind of Cowboy is date as of October 2020. At least he now made it to my Country Music Picks with What Color’ Your Wide.

Manni Britz – Two Harts Are Crying (South Of The Border)

Manni Britz is a country artist from Germany. In Two Hearts Are Crying (South Of The Border), he is telling the stories of an unfortunate love between the USA and Mexico. A really nice write.

JD Clayton – Madelene

Madelene is a song from JD Clayton’s new album, Blue Sky Sundays. The album did not make it to a review, but at least to my Country Music Picks.

Kyle Clark – Off Your Boots

Kyle Clark was born in Hawaii and later grew up in Georgia. At the end of February, he released the calm and rather groovy Off Your Boots. A really nice listen.

Redferrin – Some City, Somewhere

It’s already about a year ago since I saw Redferrin live in Frankfurt, alongside Restless Road and Carter Faith. While he will soon join Old Dominion on their North American tour, he is likely not on European stages this year. The more, let’s celebrate his music.

Cole Goodwin – Women Want Me, Fish Fear Me

The award of the most funny song title of the week definitely goes to Cole Goodwin that week. A rather traditional, but speedy release by the Georgia-origin country music artist.

Coffey Anderson – You Can’t Spell Hero Without Her

I am not typically not that much into too patriotic country music – but I really like this one by the Texas-origin artist.

Lola Kirke – 231s

Lola Kirke released two songs that week, 241s and 2 Damn Sexy. I really liked the first one by the actor and musician, who is born in London and has the British and US-American citizenship.

Cody Webb – Drive You Out of My Mind

Cody Webb made it once to my website so far. In the debut of the “new” Country Music Picks in July 2024, he was present with Tin Can. A really nice one by the South Carolina artist.

Title picture: Alexandra Kay – Cupid’s a Cowgirl single cover

Country Music Picks – The Playlist

I will also present the new songs of a month in a new, dedicated playlist. The playlist will be completely flushed and reset with the next Country Music Picks posting.
