Honestly, when my wife and I visited the Count’s Kustoms Showroom in Las Vegas, we just had very little knowledge about the background of this place. The hot rod and chopper customization company became famous by the US-American reality TV series Counting Cars, a spinoff of Pawn Stars. The place is driven by the owner, Danny The Count Koker, who obviously gave the name to the company. However, even if you are not into the format, which has been recorded between 2012 and 2021, a visit might be interesting. Here is my review.
Count’s Kustoms Showroom – Location & Admission
Count’s Kustoms Showroom is located in 2174 S Highland Dr. The building is more or less a backyard-alike place in a rather commercial area. Even though it is located between the Las Vegas Boulevard and I-15, walking there is doable from the Strip, but having a car or taking an Uber feels much more sensible. If you want to use public transport, the closest stop is likely SB Sammy Davis Jr after So Bridge, served by bus line 119. The DEUCE bus, which is running up and down Las Vegas Boulevard (the Strip) is an alternative. The closest well-known casino is Circus Circus (linear distance).
You can visit the showroom from 10:00 to 16:00 daily. There is limited parking available in the backyard. Admission to the showroom is free
Count’s Kustoms Showroom – The Visit
The showroom is one large room, which features both, cars and motorbikes. You are allowed to take pictures, including flash photography, but (obviously) must not touch the cars. The are close to the reception is a bit of darker and also features strong red light, which made it more difficult to take a few snaps of that part. The cars are impressing. You also quickly get into the very signature style of Count’s Kustoms, which is a bit of darker and also uses decors similar to the ones used in hard rock music and similar genres.
The range of vehicles in display during our visit was very wide. Of course, they all have a certain level of engine power in common – the customization company is not the right choice for your small city car. Working with colors, design prints, but also custom parts leads to a very versatile exhibition in Count’s Kustoms showroom. You also have a range of motorbikes, but also commercial vehicles like a van or a former funeral car. The latter also comes with a sofa, which has been built out of a coffin.
Count’s Kustoms Showroom – Services
The staff was really friendly and helpful. Especially as there is free admission, the large souvenir store is a very interesting place for visitors. Apart from shirts and similar merchandise featuring the main characters of the TV series (and thus: the company), there is a wide range of items. You can even buy metal boards with the company logo, which you can use as room decoration or wall key holder.
Count’s Kustoms Showroom – My View
We stayed at the showroom for some 30 minutes. I really enjoyed my time there. The staff is nice and helpful – despite many visitors are “just” having a look without spending too much money in the souvenir store or asking for a vehicle customization. The style of the company is really cool. Thus, if you have the time, the detour from Las Vegas main attractions is definitely worth it.
