Cadillac Motel Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, Ontario, is not the most budget-friendly summer destination in Canada. Thus, I finally went for a rather basic option in order to visit and cover Weird Al Yankovic’s show at OLG State at Fallsview Casino on 5th July 2026. The Cadillac Motel felt like a straight and easy choice. The price was unbeatably low, the reviews were absolutely fine and the place even offered a less than five minute drive to the Hilton hotel and casino venue where the concert took place. And: it was a stay in a traditional style motel – something I typically don’t have that frequently on my North America trip. Thus, I was really looking forward to that one.

Cadillac Motel Niagara Falls – Location

The Cadillac Motel at Ferry St is very centrally located. There are a couple of other hotels in the area. Right across the street there is a convenience store with long opening hours, which is not that cheap, but very handy. Unfortunately, right next to that store there is saloon style bar, which had recently opened. They operate with an open front and have loud music until late at night. I a brief chat with hotel staff at check-out. They confirmed that their reviews massively dropped after this place had opened. I did work most of the night, but their massive bass speakers, but also loud visitors were absolutely disturbing.

Cadillac Motel Niagara Falls – Room

I had one night at the Cadillac Motel, Sunday to Monday in July 2026. The flexible rate for the stay was 142.21 CAD, roughly 88 EUR. The motel does not offer breakfast or any meals. The room was absolutely within my expectation. It is not the most comfortable spot, but you get a really good value for money, including a fridge and a microwave as well as a work desk with power outlets. You see that the room had a certain duration of use already, but there was some maintenance as well so that I overall really liked it. Some other guests loved to sit in the patio / parking area on the garden chairs provided.

The bathroom with the North American bathtub/shower was compact as well. However, apart from a lack of space to leave some of your toiletries, it absolutely got the job done. The air conditioning worked well and housekeeping provided by an absolutely clean room. The sound insulation is reasonable, also towards the other rooms. However, the massive bass speakers of the bar across the street would beat better insulation as well.

The staff in the hotel was really nice. The check-in went quite smoothly and a nice feature is that you more or less park in front of your hotel room. I also did not have any issue with the WiFi provided by the Cadillac Motel.
