Flyctory.com Pros

  • Very convenient location right at the terminal
  • Early breakfast service

Especially due to my bonds with Pixbo IBK in floorball, I have rather regular trips to Gothenburg. One of them was in January 2026, when I featured the women’s match vs. Storvreta IBK as well as the men’s match vs. Warberg IC in Scandinavium. As I had to take an early Sunday morning flight back after the men’s match, I went for a stay at the Landvetter Airport Hotel, located very close to the Gothenburg Airport (GOT) terminal. The hotel is branded as Best Western Premier. Here is my review of the stay.

Landvetter Airport Hotel – Location & Access

Landvetter Airport Hotel is just some 200 meters walk away from Gothenburg Airport (GOT) terminal to its East. There is a walkway between the hotel and the terminal, which I did not take in January, due to the snow and having all the technical equipment with me. In between the two buildings, there is the parking garage majorly used by rental car companies. I had a car rental with Hertz during that stay. This means that apart from the services provided by the hotel, you can also easily use the services provided by the airport in the landside area, e.g. basic restaurants and grocery stores. Driving distance to motorway 40, which connects to Gothenburg and Jönköping, is roughly 1.5 kilometers. At the motorway exit, there is also a 24 hour McDonald’s restaurant.

During your stay, the hotel also offers free parking next to the building. This was very handy for me, as I also featured the Hovslätt vs. Visby Men SSL match during that stay and had quite a bit of driving. You can, of course, also use, the mass transport options to and from the airport when you stay at the Landvetter Airport Hotel. These are mainly services to Gothenburg city center by FlixBus and Flygbusserna, but there is also a local transport bus connection (line 612) to the town of Landvetter and Önneröd in Southwest Gothenburg.

Landvetter Airport Hotel – The Room

I had two nights at the Landvetter Airport Hotel, from Friday to Sunday in January 2026. The flexible rate for a standard double room, including breakfast, was 2,762 SEK, roughly 250 EUR. The room was rather Nordic, which means slightly compact, but very functional, but absolutely suited my needs. Finally, all I needed was a comfy bed, space for my equipment and a nice work desk, which has all been provided. I also liked that there were sufficient power sockets in the room to keep my computers powered and to be able to recharge the batteries.

The bathroom was actually quite nice, featuring a combined bathtub and shower. At the sink, there was sufficient space for my toiletries. The room was overall very well maintained and housekeeping did a good job in keeping it clean, so that I absolutely liked it.

Landvetter Airport Hotel – Breakfast

There are quite a lot of very early flights from Gothenburg (GOT) – like mine. Thus, I absolutely loved that the Landvetter Airport Hotel adopted their breakfast times in line with that – something so many airport hotels are lacking. The full breakfast buffet is served from 4:30 to 9:30 (weekends until 10:00), but they also have an early bird breakfast buffet, which does not feature all warm items, from 3:30 already. There is a nice selection of warm and cold items in the large restaurant, so that the breakfast there is relaxed. Most items are quite in line what you would expect from a Swedish breakfast buffet.

Landvetter Airport Hotel – Services

The staff at the hotel was really friendly and lead to an enjoyable stay. If you want to exercise, you can also do so in the nice hotel gym, which also features a sauna. WiFi in the hotel worked very well, too.

Landvetter Airport Hotel – My View

Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (GOT) is too remote to recommend this hotel as a stay for a city trip, but especially if you have an early morning flight or want to explore the region around Gothenburg, it is a really striking option. Free parking right at the airport is a nice feature, and I especially loved their early breakfast services. Why are so many airport hotels not providing that? Thumbs up for this handy accommodation.
