Rock of Ages – 2025 International Dates of the Musical

Another year, another time for Rock of Ages. Similar to the previous years, I disclose some of the international dates I found already and will regularly (and time permitting) update this list. Thus, the list might be a bit sparse at the beginning, but I am sure that it will expand soon.

 

Rock of Ages – the German / Austrian Tour 2025

While the dates below have been announced close to the end of the of the 2024 tour, there is not too much happening so far. I expected more dates to be announced. Especially Munich, where the musical had maybe the best and many sold out shows, is still missing. There is a gap n the calendar around (European) Labor Day (1st May), though. In contrast to 2024, there is no show in Switzerland planned so far as well. The German tour will also have some cast changes – but so far, ShowSlot has been excellent in casting. Due to the significantly increased ticket prices, I won’t make that many shows in 2025, so far. However, a sweep of my home town Cologne is definitely envisaged.

 

All times are 19:30 unless other stated. Some shows have been added after the initial announcement. I will remove this section once I kick off a 2025 Rock of Ages International shows posting later in 2024.

January 2025 – Livermore, California, USA

The first shows I spotted (so far) are the ones in Livermore in California. The town is right outside San Francisco Bay, where the Tri Valley Theatre Company will play a total of eight shows.

Oakdale is a city on Long Island in New York State. There is a total of nine shows in early 2025, majorly in January.

One of the first 2025 shows I ran into is this French production in Quebec. There are six shows between Friday and Monday. Saint-Jermone is a North-West suburb of Montreal.

This community theater in Illinois shows a total of nine performances in March 2025. Bloomington is a city qite in the middle between Chicago and St. Louis.

There are ten shows in Swarthmore in Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, in April 2025. The stage is quite active, but feels to be a community / amateur theater.

Rock of Ages hits Colorado in summer 2025. There is a total of 16 performances scheduled. Thus, I guess the production is rather a professional one, but I could not find definitive information. The city is located right next to Denver in its Southwest.

July 2025 – Woodstock, Georgia, United States

Not located in the legendary Woodstock in New York, but in Georgia, the Woodstock Arts Center released this list of shows rather early. Regarding the ticket prices, the cast is likely an amateur one, doing a total of nine shows in July 2025

August 2025 – Duluth, Minnesota, USA

I have never seen the shortened (and less explicit) Teen Edition of the musical. One opportunity to do so would be the performances in Duluth, Minnesota, which take place on one weekend in August. The ensemble plays five shows overall.
