by Merry Christmas everyone! Likely, this week is the one with the least music releases in the Western world. Thus, I just had access to a few new songs. Nonetheless, I found a few new tracks which I felt are worth listening to. Here are my last Songs of the Week of the year 2026. Fun fact: it is the first post in this category which solely featured German artists.
Xanky – Dad
The last leading song of 2026 is Dad by Xanky. The artist’s name is based on his civil name, Timo Xanke. He is a German artist from Osnabrück. In fact, this folktronica song is his debut single.
Marco Augusto – Aus Liebe zum Leben
Marco Augusto released his new track Aus Liebe zum Leben last Saturday already. He is a German–Italian artist born in Milan. The song is his first song released since 2022 and his second song in German overall.
Dominik Grossner – Pures Dynamit
Pures Dynamit is a song in the schlager and pop sphere. His previous release has been König ohne Thron released in 2025. A nice, powerful track, which is maybe a good one to get out of the typical Christmas music style.
Leandro Lieder – Unser Leben singen wir
Leandro Lieder is a German singer-songwriter from the Greater Münster area. His song Unser Leben singen wir (“We are singing our live”) is just his fourth single release at all. A nice move to have a new song out this Friday and thus gain some additional attention.
Meerle – Weggefährten
Another debut single is Weggefährten by Meerle. She is a German artist who started to do music in childhood years. The song is a calm song, which is solely recorded with her voice and the piano. A beautiful listen.
