Flyctory.com Pros

  • Lovely songwriting
  • Songs compile to one "storybook", good plot
  • Nice mixture of intense and more easy tracks

Stefanie Heinzmann won the German, Austrian and Swiss hearts in 2008. Since then, she has a remarkable career with successful records, especially in the three German-speaking countries. On 10th October 2025, the Swiss artist releases a new studio album, Circles. I had a listen.

Stefanie Heinzmann – About The Artist

Stefanie Fabienne Heinzmann is a Swiss pop and soul singer. Born on 10th March 1989 in Visp-Eyholz, she became famous when she won the TV talent show SSDSDSSWEMUGABRTLAD in January 2008. Her winning song was My Man Is a Mean Man. The song topped the Swiss charts and received a golden record in Germany. Before that she sang in a Swiss German-singing rock band, BigFisch. In 2008, she released her debut album Masterplan, which was a platinum record in Germany and Switzerland. In her home country, no Stefanie Heinzmann album peaked worse than fourth. Circles is her seventh studio album overall. Her previous release was Labyrinth in 2021. With the 2012 single Diggin’ in the Dirt, she had a platinum record in Switzerland.

Stefanie Heinzmann – Circles – Track by Track

The thirteen track album lasts 37 minutes.

1. Circles

The first 57 seconds of the album is a narrative introduction to Circles, accompanied by spherical, atmospheric melodies and sounds. It directly leads into Shine.

2. Shine

The fine, dreaming atmosphere of Circles continues with Shine. Stefanie Heinzmann starts her album slow, but therefor creates an intense mood. Nobody taught this sun to shine, you know how to laugh and how to cry – and that’s what you need to know – after these words, the song becomes more rhythmic and it feels like that the album is now fully kicking off. A great song with a lovely message.

3. Myself

Myself is a rhythmic dance-pop track with a really cool groove. This album is full of self-reflection about different phases of life. It feels so good to be myself, she energetically states in this groovy song – a very catching one with a smart vocal arrangement.

4. Talk

Let’s talk about you and me, Heinzmann invites in the fourth. The dance-pop track spreads happy, but also very thoughtful vibes. What I really like about Circles so far is that even with very different moods presented in the album, you still feel that these songs belong together, tell one big story. Let’s see if the remaining album can keep up that.

5. Oceans

Like TalkOceans has been released as a single before the album. The song reminds of Shine. Initially, it is a rather quiet listen with ballad vibes. In a later part of the track, though, it is also very powerful.

6. Power

Tell everybody I’m on my way  is one of the first lines of Power, which has likely been the most successful song of the Circles promotion campaign. The blending of pop and soul elements feels to have worked out the best in here, compared to the entire album. A very energetic and uplifting song.

7. Hurricane

In the next song, Stefanie Heinzmann takes to to the eye of a hurricane. The way the sound of the melody as well as the voice of the artist changes to underline the dramatic scenery is impressing. The marching chorus is obviously the key element of Hurricane.

8. Water

The key elements of the eighth song are definitely on the vocal side. The Swiss artist works with lonely solo parts as well as the very energetic support of the backing vocals. Multiple times, the song takes a short break, but increases the dramatic plot of the song.

9. Feel

The whole album has a very personal touch – but at Feel, this likely reaches its climax. Heinzmann makes you feel being very close to he on this album, explore feelings through her heart. That’s excellent songwriting.

10. Hands

The very personal style of Circles turns the album also into a rather intense and demanding listen. The more, it is important to shake off that “heaviness” in songs like Hands. Just 2:23 minutes, but Heinzmann shares a really nice dance pop track which refreshes you energy level and attention.

11. Rain

Love that feels like rain. The very metaphoric style of Heinzmann continues in this song. Wow, the eleventh track has a lot of energy and feels to compiles quite a lot of different styles. The chorus is a blast. I really love Rain.

12. Good

Good has been another single release from Circles. I really liked the very present, “loud” and rather mainstream pop-alike song when it has been released. In the context of the album, I rather see it as one of these re-energizing songs.

13. Space

Finally, Stefanie Heinzmann takes you on a trip to Space. The song nicely reflects the space atmosphere and rather feels like a dream-pop track with a melancholic touch. I enjoy this kind of space travel at the end of Circles.

Stefanie Heinzmann – Circles – My View

Circles is a lovely album. The individual songs merge together to a plot, a story. Individually, they are told and written in a beautiful way. That’s what an album should be about – a storybook told in different, characterful chapters. Stefanie Heinzman does that in an excellent way.

Favorite Track: Rain
