Time to introduce you to a new German band again on Flyctory.com. On 28th November 2025, Chriz Doe have released their debut album Cookie Doe. I had a listen and share my thoughts with you.
Chriz Doe – About The Artist
Chriz Doe is a German metal band from the Sauerland region, doing a mixture of metalcore and alternative metal songs. The quartet has been founded in 2022. The band is named after the singer Chriz Doe. The other band members are Henny (drums), Gerrit (guitar/bass) and Kevin (keys). They already played some support shows for major artists.
Chriz Doe – Cookie Doe – Track by Track
The eleven song album lasts 40 minutes

1. No Pain No Gain
The opener of the album is also some sort of “opener” of the career of Chriz Doe. They released No Pain No Gain as their debut single in October 2023. The song kicks off with energetic riffs. Chriz Doe’s vocals feel dirty and naughty in the stanzas, but are catching and harmonic in the chorus as well. The groove section is hammering an intense beat, while there is a fine touch from the keys. A really good and promising first step into Cookie Doe.
2. Welcome To The Doez
After this warm-up, the Welcome To The Doez is next. This time, the keyboard is taking a leading role introducing you to the song. We won’t leave you alone, the band promises in the chorus. Indeed, the song is a powerful catch. It is fun to become part of it – I am sure it is a highlight when the Sauerland guys are on stage.
3. 10.000 Days
The first previously unreleased track of the album is 10,000 Days. The message of the song is apocalyptic – In 10,000 days nothing will remain. This means that we might at most have some 27 years with Chriz Doe and his bandmates. The dark, bombastic song leaves you with sad, but fascinated feelings.
4. Dark
The fourth song of Cookie Doe is Dark. The slack groove of the track makes you sway your head slowly in the chorus – and speed up in the stanzas. The chorus is the core of this one, definitely. It stays in your mind.
5. Solitude
The pace of Cookie Doe decreases slightly at Solitude. Nontheless, the German band does not limit their rock energy. Again, the leverage between good metal melodies and guitar force works out very fine. Nice one.
6. Lost In Thoughts
Lost In Thoughts surprises in the chorus to me. On the one hand, there is the melodic, comparably clean sound of the sixth track of the record. On the other hand Chriz Doe growls at the end of the chorus and thus adds a much darker, brutal touch to the song. The bridge with its hammering riffs gives death metal feelings on top of it, almost immediately changing into a pop-ish, harmonic melody.
7. The Deep
The Deep is a rather characteristic song for the Cookie Doe album. Very nice metal power, fine melodies and some surprising elements. However, this one does feel less striking than some of its predecessory.
8. Join The Party
After listening to seven tracks of Chriz Doe’s music, this song title feels promising. Hey, yeah, come on join the party – these are lyrics which simply have to work out. I like the stronger presence of the keyboard in this track. It’s definitely fun.
9. Independent
The track Independent feels being a perfect fit into the Cookie Doe album. It is rather on the less brutal side of metal, again the keyboards add some synth-pop vibes. On the other hand, it also illustrates a weak spot of the album. Individually, the songs are fun. But in the context of a set of songs, there could be a more individual touch as well.
10. Come Fly With Me
Finally, Chriz Doe invites the listener to Come Fly With Me. What I like about this one is definitely the plot. It takes you through different kinds of mood and different kinds of atmosphere. This leads to a rather versatile and entertaining listen.
11. Cookie Doe (Instrumental)
Oh, we are still lacking the title track of Chriz Doe’s debut. Here it is – right at the end of the album. The Germans focus on the instruments in here and mix metal elements with techno style electronic sounds. I love instrumental music – but in here, the lack of vocals also somehow illustrates that this blending does not always works well.

Chriz Doe – Cookie Doe – My View
There is some magic in Chriz Doe and their debut Cookie Doe. I like the blending and the general sound. And you cannot deny some fun listening to the tracks. However, sometimes, the combination of different styles still does not work nicely. I feel the guys do have potential, but are not at their best yet. That’s no shame, it’s a debut album – and a lot of time left to give a crisper, but also wider range of songs.
