Flyctory.com Songs Of The Week (week of 22nd August 2025)

My weekend this time will be under full control by the Sound of Nashville Open Air 2025 in Cologne. Three days of country music. My leading song at the Songs of the Week this time is also somehow related to country music. A rather gentle song selection starting with ballads and containing quite some pop music this time.

Jenn Bostic – Easy To Love

I give in, I am very biased when it comes to Jenn Bostic. The Flyctory.com Featured Artist is an outstanding and very underrated artist to me. Coming from a country and religious music background, her new single praises her son, who is Easy To Love. It touches me deeply (as Jenn does so often…). And I love it. She simply had to be on the top of the list this week.

Aaron Rowe – Lose Lose

Lose Lose is just the third single release by Irish singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe. I love this beautiful and personal piano ballad.

Franziska Kleinert – Weißt Du Noch

Franziska Kleinert was the top candidate to lead my Songs of the Week last week with this song. However, the release date on the promotion platform was wrong. Now, Weißt Du Noch (“Do you still know”) is out – a beautiful pop track by the German artist.

Daniel Johnson – Dominik und ich

Similar to country music, German schlager is regarded to be rather on the very traditional side. The more, I loved to run into Daniel Johnson and his new track Dominik und ich. A nice gay schlager track by the Freiburg artist.

Max Grimm – Gib mir Deine Nummer

A modern German pop song is Gib Mir Deine Nummer by Max Grimm. Grimm released his debut album in 2023. Now he is asking “Give Me Your Number” – would you do it after listening to this one?

Adriana & Dominik Ofner – Wildes Herz

Adriana is an Austrian schlager artist. For her new song, she teamed up with Dominik Ofner, the frontman of the Schürzenjäger. The result is a straight schlager-pop song, which stays in you head. I really like it.

Dick Brave – Back For Good

Sasha’s alter ego is coming back. I already shared the 2026 tour dates of his rockabilly project Dick Brave in my Tour Date Overview. Almost in parallel, he is releasing the title track of his new album. Here is Take That’s classic in the typical Dick Brave style.

Versengold feat. Madsen – Falscher Leuchtturm

The German folk-rock band Versengold team up with the Northern German indie-rock band Madsen. The result is a great German rock song with a lot of potential to drive your party. One of my favorites this week, indeed.

Twenty One Pilots – Drum Show

Tyler Joseph and Joshua Dun are the Twenty One Pilots. The US-American duo from Columbus mix alternative rock with pop, rap and electronic elements. Their Drum Show is already teasing their new album. Breach will be released on 12th September 2025.

Felix Jaehn & Leony – Bang Bang

I really love Leonie Burger aka Leony and her music. In February 2025, I featured her album Oldschool Love. This week, she release a dance pop song, released together with Hamburg producer and DJ Felix Jaehn. Enjoy the dance!

July – Drunk in Love

Doesn’t have July’s song Drunk In Love have some Leony vibes? The Berlin artist debuted with the single Ghost Town in 2023, recorded with VIZE and Joris Sava. She just finished school and will now increase the focus on her musical career.

Eros Ramazzotti – Il mio giorno preferito

Interesting double release by the Italian pop legend. This Friday, he released Il mio giono preferito (“My favorite day”) and Mia dia preferido (practically the same…). The songs don’t just have very similar titles, they also in fact share the same melody and similar stories. On Valentines Day of 2026, he will kick off his world tour- romantic 🙂
