Scanning the new releases as of 28th February 2025, I ran into the sophomore album by Kasey Tyndall. Her debut record has been released some eight years ago. As I liked a brief listen, here is my review of the self-titled release of the female country artist.
Kasey Tyndall – About The Artist
Kasey Tyndall is a North Carolina native artist, who was born on 30th May 2003. In 2017, she self-released her debut album Between Salvation and Survival. Especially its second track, Bar That’s Open, got quite some reputation. She regularly released singles, but did not have any EP or album relases thereafter. Some of her songs were really successful, like the 2022 Jesus and Joan Jett, which comes with four million Spotify stream. Kasey Tyndall is her debut as a record label artist.
Kasey Tyndall – Kasey Tyndall – Track by Track
The eleven track album lasts 36 minutes.
1. Pulling Weeds
The album is kicking off with one of the three songs Kasey Tyndall has already released beforehand, Pulling Weeds. The song starts rather slow, but the rocking heart of the artist feels to explore in the chorus. This also leads to a very groovy and energetic listen. Kasey Tyndall starts promising.
2. Crystal Methodist
The January 2025 single release Crystal Methodist has been the last song shared before Kasey’s label debut. The song has a nice energy, a powerful beat and a lot of guitar support. I just wonder why the explicit lyrics button is missing on Spotify – and then rock on with Kasey.
3. Men Like You
After these two rocking and powerful songs, Kasey Tyndall is showing her more emotional side in Men Like You. Kasey asks Tell me where you have been my whole damn life and presents a calm, but really beautiful love song.
4. I Ain’t Askin’
The story of the song stays personal in I Ain’t Askin’, but the guitars are back and form a nice country ballad. The song comes with a really nice style and good vibes. Really nice one.
5. Karma
When I had an initial quick scan of the album, Karma has been the song I got stuck in. Karma is a bitch and she is the biggest one I know sends a clear message. An angry, energetic song, which is having a really good catch.
6. Four Roses
The next song is a nice blending of the different styles Kasey Tyndall’s album featured so far. On the one hand, it is a another really nice story with a personal and emotional touch. Then, there are these rock sprinkles in her Four Roses. I wouldn’t see the sixth track on the top of my list of this album, but it is a pretty nice write.
7. He Gave Me You
The title of the seventh track already suggests what this one is about. The song is a track in the slower range of a typical modern country song. Another nice listen, which is, however, not as characteristic as some tracks in the first half of the album.
8. Not As I’ve Done
Released in September 2024, Not As I’ve Done has been the first single release from the Kasey Tyndall album. The song is a slower, more intimate three minute track, which gains some energy towards its end.
9. Wrong Side of Rock & Roll
With Wrong Side of Rock & Roll, the album moves back to the style of the first songs. I feel that Kasey Tyndall is defining a stronger character and also a lot of energy when she is blending rock elements to her music. The b-word is back in the lyrics as well – but that’s not the key reason why I like this one.
10. Famous
I don’t wanna be famous – that’s maybe a rather surprising statement towards the end of the album. The song is a real good one, again using country and rock elements. One of the most powerful ones of the album.
11. Middle Man
For the final track of the album, Kasey Tyndall does not need much more than an acoustic guitar and her voice. She is sounding fragile, the song gives a very intimate touch and a gentle farewell from her label debut.

Kasey Tyndall – Kasey Tyndall – My View
I love the country rock tracks on Kasey Tyndall. However, Kasey is also great in the very emotional moments of her 2025 album like in Middle Man. There are some weaker spots in the median of that song range, but overall, it is a really enjoyable listen.
