Lords of Salem? I guess that most of you think, if at all, of a 2012 horror movie. However, it is also a German band. On 6th March 2026, they release Supersonic Vampire Pussy, which is their debut album. Here is my review.
Lords of Salem – About The Artists
Lords of Salem is a theatrical rock and metal band from Southwest Germany. I could not find a founding date, but the first EP release stated on their website is their 2019 one, Hell Over Salem. Lords of Salem are a quartet, their band members use artist names. Namely, they call themselves Postel (vocals), Holly (guitar), Marple (bass) and Ole (drums).
Lords of Salem – Supersonic Vampire Pussy – Track by Track
The nine track album lasts 37 minutes.

1. The Hills Have Eyes
The Germans definitely don’t take a slow start. They are hammering the riffs of The Hills Have Eyes from the very first second with full force. The match works with sirens and radio communication-style text passages. A powerful, bombastic experience at the very beginning of Supersonic Vampire Pussy, which is a nice reason to listen on.
2. Miss Demoness
The first of two single releases on this album is Miss Demoness. I rather don’t quote the lyrics in here, it will definitely reduce the SEO score of the entire website. The second song is rough, loud – but also fascinated with its dramatic plot, the breaks in vocal and melodic styles. And, yes, the F*ck you, Miss Demoness definitely stays in your mind.
3. Blood Orgy
Okay, if you are looking for a romantic rock ballad, you are definitely wrong in this album. The title already points out that this song is another theatrical metal treat. Lords of Salem manage to put different roles and characters into suitable vocals and melodic elements. The middle of the song gets extra-brutal with chainsaw sounds – don’t listen to this one if you tend to having nightmares.
4. German Zombie Attack
Smash, Fight, German Zombie Attack – another time Lords of Salem burn their stories right into your brain with full metal forces. There is a short section in German lyrics in here as well. Maybe it tells too much about my character, but I love when they state
München steht in Flammen,
Hamburg überrannt,
Frankfurt liegt in Trümmern,
Berlin hält nicht mehr stand.
(“Munich is in flames,
Hamburg overrun,
Frankfurt lies in ruins,
Berlin can no longer hold out.”)
5. Supersonic Vampire Pussy
In the heart of the album, there is the title track of the album. The speed of this song is indeed Supersonic. Four minutes of high speed metal are in here. Nonetheless, the song also has some atmospheric elements with synth elements and distorted vocals. Lords Of Salem are on fire in here.
6. Eternal Love
After this high energy full speed experience, the slow start of Eternal Love feels like traveling into another universe. Lords Of Salem indeed present a hymnic piano-style ballad in here. The vocals have a nice touch, but the hard rocking songs feel to work out better.
7. Summoned Them From Their Graves
The seventh song does not take you back to the full theatrical metal sphere. Nonetheless, the song is dark and rocking. Howling guitars and growling vocals do create a deep atmosphere in here again. The melodic vocal parts feel pop-ish, almost kitschy. Even though they state I summoned them from their graves. Like many songs on Supersonic Vampire Pussy, this one impresses with metaphors, great background sound elements and a vast intensity.
8. 1000 Ways To Die
The first moments of 1000 Ways To Die have a nostalgic 1980’s touch. The song nicely works with background synth elements. There’re 1000 ways to die, are you curious? the band asks in the chorus. And the devilish style of the song hammers right into your soul. Lords of Salem simply manage to define strong pictures in your mind while listening.
9. Carnivore
Differently distorted and interpreted vocals, strong guitars and good samples – the farewell from Lords of Salem’s 2026 album is just right. At least if you have the remaining album in mind. The very rhythmic chorus spreads a lot of energy and turns Carnivore into a stunning chucker-out.

Lords of Salem – Supersonic Vampire Pussy – My View
I have to give in that this record is definitely not in the mainstream range. It is loud, rough, bloody and brutal. But, on the other hand, it is really well done. The band is creating a lot of pictures in your mind while you listen to the nine songs. The theatrical element even works by solely listening to the music. Thus, I overall really love Supersonic Vampire Pussy.
